Having pondered the final alignment, we’ve decided to add an extra 20kms so that you can finish at least one day of your walk at the Pub! So at then end of Day 6, you shuld have left the fantastic DPWA managed Julimar Forest and headed into Victoria Plains. The day ends at historic Bolgart, first settled by Captain Scully and often visited by Dom Rosendo Salvado the pioneering Benedictine Monk (the Hotel hadn’t been built back then!). So enjoy the trail and enjoy the hospitality of the people of Bolgart.
Our first runner is gearing up to run the trail and hopefully we’ll hear more of that soon. So good luck Andrew and keep us posted with pictures and progress. (see friends of the Pilgrim Trail)
And a huge thanks to Debbie and Gino Salomone of Tiles Expo who have generously helped us with their kind donation.
But here’s some really amazing news: The Pilgrim Trail Foundation has been asked to give a presentation at an International Conference in Santiago Spain – the focus of the historic Camino di Santiago pilgrimage – in November of this year. This is a huge honour and informs us that our Trail has now reached an Inernational Audience. And for a bunch of enthusiastic amateurs with a really BIG DREAM, that’s not a bad achievement.
